The Myth of Islam as a Religion of Peace
“Islam was never a religion of peace. It is a religion based on a warrior code.”I found this dated article the other day. Discussion is always good. In seeking to defend Islam against the claim that it promotes violence many Muslims have said that ‘Islam’ means peace, or that Islam is a religion of peace. Unfortunately this is just plain wrong.IslamIslam is derived from the Arabic aslama, which means ’surrender’ (to the will of Allah). Muslim means ‘one who has surrendered to the will of Allah’.
