Tata Nano - Car For The Commons

Tata Nano - Car for the Commons By Venkat Ramamurthy Ratan Tata has finally made it. The man, who dreamed big to make a small car has achieved it and gave the cynics a halt that predicted doom on the project. Major competitors wondered in awe, a feat they thought would remain in paper. However, as the expectations from the Indian middle classes soared, the opinions resonated with global sentiments on the need for an affordable car that would carry the common people. The light has ultimately sh

The 50 greatest travel quotes

Over at Brave New Traveler, road-weary Tim Patterson finds some inspiration in a list of his 50 favorite travel quotes. Quite a few of them I’ve heard before, but there are also some new gems: “People travel to faraway places to watch, in fascination, the kind of people they ignore at home.” - Dagobert D. Runes “If you reject the food, ignore the customs, fear the religion and avoid the people, you might better stay at home.” - James Michener “A wise traveler never despises his own country.” - C

Getting acclimatized in Cusco, Peru - Cusco, Peru

Jump to the full entry & travel map Cusco, Peru (posted by Steph) Hellloooo Cusco!!   So from Iguazu, we had a fairly long and adventurous trip to get to Cusco, Peru. We flew back to Buenos Aires where we spent the afternoon. We headed to La Boca region of the city which we missed the first time around. It´s a very cool and very colorful part of the city! We then got on an evening flight to Lima, where we arrived around 11pm. Our flight to Cusco wasn´t until 515am the next morning.

Well, I am still here, but running to keep up with other projects and developments in life. The was illness and travel, now community and work projects. I have developed a running storyline in my life—a kind of meta narrative—that is the essence of my blog. It is a wayI have grown to look at the world

China Road

China Road I enjoy reading good travel and exploration books. I am reasonably certain that I will never visit every country and region on this planet, and it fascinates me to see through an author’s eyes people of other cultures and how they live, as well as descriptions of natural and human landscapes very different than those with which I am personally familiar. These are several different types of travel books. Some writers emphasize the humorous and/or dangerous aspects of their journey

Courage …

John 7:1-39 Jesus Goes to the Feast of Tabernacles After this, Jesus went around in Galilee, purposely staying away from Judea because the Jews there were waiting to take his life. But when the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles was near, Jesus’ brothers said to him, “You ought to leave here and go to Judea, so that your disciples may see the miracles you do. No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since you are doing these things, show yourself to the world.” For even his own
