I have worried about this for a long time, which is why I spent 8 years teaching seniors in high school how to write essays. I left the classroom, but the signs of poor writing and bad grammar abound: Misuse of “it’s.” Signs that say, “Express Lane–15 items or less.” And now there’s texting, which has further deteriorated the quality of writing, or so it seems. We went to Airboat Adventures and took a 2 hour Airboat tour throughout the Bayou of Louisiana.&nbsp; As we parked the car some guy came up to us and told us to get our tickets and grab some beer in the county store&#8230;.very interesting because he had quite the resemblance to Quasimodo, but what can you expect when you get down to the Bayou. I’ve come to realize that protecting freedom of choice in our everyday lives is essential to maintaining a healthy civil society.  Why do we think we are helping adult consumers by taking away their options? We don’t take away cars because we don’t like some people speeding. We allow state lotteries despite knowing some people are betting their grocery money.
